This cake was a little surprise for a special friend who just celebrated her birthday. It was the perfect size for her to share with a few coworkers today.

Jen's Baby Shower

This cake was created for a dear friend's baby shower to welcome her new little princess. This was the theme for the shower:

And this is the cake I created for her:

12" double layer double chocolate fudge cake with chocolate buttercream icing, 8" double layer topper of same.

Fun with Fondant

So, I finally decided to get my hands in some fondant and now I'm wondering why I didn't do it sooner! Making the marshmallow fondant is not too hard, it tastes better than store bought, and you can do so much with it.


My first go wasn't anything great, just wanted to get a feel for it. It ended up going to one of Neal's little friends.











Then there was my first ordered fondant cake, just did the zebra stripes with fondant, still a little intimidated.












Then came Jen's baby shower practice cake, and that's when I realized that I truly LOVE fondant!
